Cha Eun Woo has starred in various dramas, such as “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” “True Beauty,” “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” and the movie, “Decibel,” where he showcased his massive improvement as an actor.
Cha Eun Woo is often cast in webtoon-based works, and he would often go viral for his visuals that come straight out of a cartoon. Usually, the star portrays a warm and handsome character, boasting a high synchronization with the 2D reference.
During the interview, he revealed that he did his past works because both the characters he portrayed and the book itself were fun and interesting to do.

After rising into popularity, thanks to these works, Cha Eun Woo unfortunately received mixed reactions for allegedly having high visual synchronization only, but failing to show concrete acting skills.
According to some, Cha Eun Woo isn’t “versatile” after playing the same character over and over again. They also claimed they were disappointed by the idol actor’s awkward expression, tone, and stiffness.
In this regard, Cha Eun Woo told MBN TV:
“This is the part where I think I can do better. Still, I did my best at the time. If I were to talk about my past work, I can say that I did my best at what I was able to do at that time, and now I think I’m doing my best in my own way.”

Regarding whether he was hurt by this feedback, Cha Eun Woo clarified:
“Rather than being hurt or blocked somewhere, I’m working with the mind that I just need to do what I can do best, which is well built inside me. I’m trying to build up a lot of good nutrients.”
Nevertheless, Cha Eun Woo is finally receiving favorable reviews for his improved acting skills with the movie “Decibel” and his drama “Island.”
In the latter project, Cha Eun Woo plays the role of a priest named Yohan. His improved acting is acknowledged, and his action scenes, facial expressions, and delivery of lines also became better.
