Are you a Hacks head? Recent off the renewal of the Jean Sensible-led and Emmy-winning sequence, there’s extra good Hacks for you on the horizon.
Breakout Hacks star Megan Stalter, who performs the dysfunctional agent assistant to Paul W. Downs’ Jimmy on the second season of the HBO Max sequence, is growing a comedy pilot with HBO Max and A24 referred to as Church Ladies, according to a report from Selection. Per Selection, “Church Ladies is a half-hour comedy that follows Beth Parker (Stalter), a 20-year-old Christian closeted lesbian as she wrestles together with her sexuality and religion in God, whereas coming into maturity in suburban Ohio. The sequence is impressed by Stalter’s personal experiences.”
This appears like an ideal present for any recovering tremendous Christian. As a former Catholic faculty child who nonetheless suffers from Catholic guilt (I most likely all the time will) I do know I’ll connect with this present in some ways.
Along with her memorable function on Hacks, Stalter will be seen on Peacock’s reboot of Queer As People. Stalter can also be set to look in her first main function in a function at nighttime comedy Cora Bora from director Hannah Pearl Utt, co-starring Manny Jacinto (The Good Place) and Jojo T. Gibbs (Recent).
