“Pandora: Beneath the Paradise,” starring Lee Ji Ah and Lee Sang Yoon, wrapped up the season with an unexpected ending.
The weekend K-drama depicts the story of Hong Tae Ra, played by Lee Ji Ah, who lived an almost perfect life until she discovered a dark secret about her past.
“Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” also featured Hong Tae Ra’s husband and presidential hopeful, Pyo Jae Hyun, played by Lee Sang Yoon.
Adding to the list of cast members are Jang Hee Jin, Bong Tae Gyu, and Park Ki Woong.
‘Pandora: Beneath the Paradise’ Episode 16 Viewership
After a slight slump in ratings, the tvN series managed to conclude the season with a significant rise in viewership.
According to a media outlet, Nielsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 4.430 percent. It is a major increase from its previous episode of 3.737 percent.
Unfortunately, the finale episode failed to beat the show’s all time high of 5.707 percent, which was recorded during the second episode.

The SBS series never fails to give viewers an unforgettable finale episode after Hong Tae Ra witnesses an unexpected incident involving her husband.
“Pandora: Beneath the Paradise,” episode 16, continues with Pyo Jae Hyun’s arrest after he gets exposed to the media right before the declaration of his presidency.

He was shocked after finding out that there was no trace of his family, not even Tae Ra and their daughter, Pyo Ji Woo.
At the prison, he was treated brutally by his cellmates and was even sentenced to death by hanging.
However, it seemed like a never ending scenario for Jae Hyun as the incident kept happening as if it were on replay.
Interestingly, Hong Tae Ra, along with Jang Do Jin, Koo Hae Soo, and Jang Gyo Jin, planned to give Jae Hyun a painful revenge, and was to experience the worst part of his life every single day.
Gyo Jin placed Pyo Jae Hyun in a coma as he altered his brain.
Just when things were going exactly as everyone planned, Pyo Jae Hyun woke up from a coma after hearing a familiar voice, which turned out to be Gyo Jin’s mother.
She ends up dead after saving Gyo Jin from Hae Hyun’s attack, but he still escapes the lab.
At this point, Gyo Jin notified his brother about Pyo Jae Hyun’s possible attack.
Lo and behold, he went after Koo Hae Soo and advised Do Jin to give him Hong Tae Ra in return for Hae Soo.
Hong Tae Ra voluntarily joined Do Jin to save Hae Soo, but she turned out to be Jae Hyun’s hostage.
Aiming a gun at Hong Tae Ra’s head, everyone was stunned after seeing Jae Hyun shoot himself.
After the incident, Tae Ra became close with Gyo Jin, who is now living overseas with Pyo Ji Woo.
When she was about to visit Gyo Jin in his room, she saw a familiar scar.
“Pandora: Beneath the Paradise” episode 16 featured a surprising plot twist, revealing that Pyo Jae Hyun is alive and was living inside Gyo Jin.
